What is the biggest change in marketing that you see coming in the next 2 years?

Jeanine: The application of emotional intelligence to phygital experiences.

Jon: The biggest challenge coming is that expectations for what a “brand” can accomplish vs what “people” can accomplish is shifting significantly. For most of us who are not Apple or Under Armour, we can’t keep relying on “the brand” for our marketplace gravitas. The personal brand – aka strategic mobilization of individuals- is where the power is shifting. Companies that put all their eggs in the corporate brand basket are going to find that the basket shrunk and the eggs expired. People have to get out in front. “Personal brand” is just code word for strategically mobilized individuals in a broader ecosystem.

    What makes your company unique?

Jeanine: Outfront Solutions provides business and marketing strategy, martec and martec services under one roof.

Jon: I’ve taken marketing operations and planning and applied them to the personal brand process for leaders, individuals, and entrepreneurs. Like an engine swap to help mobilize brand ambassadors but with the rigor and formalization of a brand marketing strategy.

What is the biggest change in marketing that you see coming in the next 2 years?

One of the biggest changes in marketing that I see coming in the next 2 years is the continued growth of artificial intelligence. What is the biggest change in marketing that you see coming in the next 2 years?

Talk Track Title: How Programmatic (as a discipline) is Failing the CMO.

Programmatic lack cultural intelligence, DE&I intelligence, consumer intimacy, and simply can’t take into account “lost consumer” signals given how episodic the path to purchase is.

    What makes your company unique?

We are an agency rooted in “culture” from the ground up. We understand that “the machines are only as good as the people informing them.”

What is the biggest change in marketing that you see coming in the next 2 years?

    Carlo: https://www.marketingweek.com/airbnb-marketing-efficiency-record-profits/

    https://www.wsj.com/articles/airbnb-says-its-focus-on-brand-marketing-instead-of-search-is-working-11667506438

Marketing has been performance focused for over a decade. As Chromageddon and the death of the third party cookie continue, brands can no longer solely rely on retargeting, social, programmatic, and SEO. Too many brands have diluted themselves in a sea of the same message through performance marketing. Their brand identity has more individuality and more to say to their consumers than the offers in their performance marketing.

It is time for brands to be who they are. To say the things they represent. To do the things they believe in. To match their voice with their consumers.

The tide is turning once again. Brand was always the unsung hero. It will finally have its chance to be king again.

Roberto: The integration of new technologies on social platforms, like AI.

    What makes your company unique?

Carlo: OpenFortune is a media platform that connects brands to consumers at scale – via fortune cookies. We took all the traditional fortune cookies that we all know and love and gave brands the chance to improve the overall fortune cookie experience. It’s simple, fortune on the front, brand on the back. Our fortune cookies land in the hands of up to 135M consumers every month, distributed to over 50,000 restaurants and delivery platforms across the US. Fortune cookies have guided people’s future decisions for generations, making it the most influential advertising medium out there. There really isn’t anything else like it.

We create millions of memorable conversations around the table and organically on social.

Traditionally, brands have faced a problem where they can create memorable experiences and engagement, but don’t have the reach required to truly penetrate to the voice of their consumer. General awareness has the numbers brands want, but is impersonal and bland. The main problem we solve, which all brands face, is we drive engagement at scale. We cross the chasm of creating an experience with reach and frequency that is unmatched in the market.

Roberto: We work in emerging concepts and technologies to influence our audience of a brand’s unique appeal.

What is the biggest change in marketing that you see coming in the next 2 years?

Evolution of AI for creating advertising content – both written ad copy and creative – and the deprecation of cookie-based ad targeting.

    What makes your company unique?

The use of Natural Language Processing technology (AI) to understand a target audience, their motivation to take action, and to create ad copy at scale that connects directly to each individual.
